Jerry Jones: Morris Claiborne could "surprise" in 2015 season

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is optimistic that Morris Claiborne can reignite his NFL career in the 2015 season after a below-par start to life in the league.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has declared that cornerback Morris Claiborne can kickstart his NFL career in the 2015 season.

The NFC East side selected the 25-year-old with the sixth-overall pick in the 2012 Draft, but the former LSU Tigers man has failed to live up to expectations in his time in the league.

Claiborne missed the majority of the 2014 season with a torn patella tendon, but Jones is hopeful that the cornerback will find his best form in the next campaign.

"I think Claiborne has a real good chance to surprise," Jones told the club's official website.

Clairborne has recorded 88 tackles and three interceptions in his three years in the NFL.
