Cleveland Browns' Ausar Walcott released after arrest

Ausar Walcott is released by the Cleveland Browns after being charged for attempted murder.

The Cleveland Browns have released rookie linebacker Ausar Walcott following his arrest for attempted murder on Tuesday.

Walcott, who is being held on £300,000 bail, was arrested for punching a man outside a New Jersey gentleman's club.

The player was only signed by the Browns on May 13 having undergone a successful tryout, but was released on Wednesday after being charged with the crime.

The charges he faces are first-degree attempted murder, second-degree aggravated assault and third-degree endangering an injured victim.
