A close first two quarters saw the San Diego Chargers take a three-point lead at half-time.

Jermaine Gresham gave the Bengals an early lead, but Demorrio Williams returned an interception for a defensive touchdown for the Chargers.

After a scoreless third quarter, quarterback Andy Dalton ran in a touchdown himself, to give the Bengals the lead.

Mike Nugent kicked a field goal to open up a seven-point lead that the Chargers were unable to overturn.

The Chargers' record means they are unlikely to make the post-season, but the win keeps the Bengals in second place in the AFC North.
