Marvin Lewis hints at new deal for Andy Dalton

Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis reveals that the club are mulling over a decision to hand quarterback Andy Dalton a new contract in the off-season.

Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis has hinted that the club will offer quarterback Andy Dalton a contract extension in the off-season.

The Bengals went one-and-done in the playoffs for the third-consecutive season with the 26-year-old as their quarterback, but Lewis has revealed that the club are pleased his performances and hope that he can continue to improve.

He told reporters: "As a football team we would like to keep to continue to keep our good, young players. The representatives from his side and our team will get together and try to discuss something.

"We feel good about what Andy has done the past three seasons and we have to continue to help him to continue to play better."

Dalton threw 33 touchdowns to 22 interceptions in the 2013 campaign.
