Paul Guenther: "Our defense isn't going to change"

Cincinnati Bengals new defensive coordinator Paul Guenther reveals that he has no plans to change his side's defensive scheme after being promoted from linebackers coach.

Cincinnati Bengals new defensive coordinator Paul Guenther has revealed that he will not change his side's defensive scheme.

Guenther was promoted from his old position of linebackers coach after Mike Zimmer left the club to become the new head coach of the Minnesota Vikings.

"Our defense isn't going to change," Guenther told the Cincinnati Enquirer. "Our players know it. I know it.

"I'll put a couple new wrinkles in where I think we were a little vanilla in some areas. I will change a little bit of things."

Guenther has been part of the Bengals coaching staff since the 2005 season.
