Carolina Panthers sign Tiquan Underwood, Antoine Cason and Joe Webb

The Carolina Panthers add receiver Tiquan Underwood, cornerback Antoine Cason and quarterback Joe Webb to their roster.

The Carolina Panthers have added a trio of players to their roster, with wide receiver Tiquan Underwood, cornerback Antoine Cason and quarterback Joe Webb joining the team.

Underwood has signed on a two-year contract having been released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season despite career-high figures of 24 receptions for 440 yards.

The 27-year-old, who has also played for the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New England Patriots during his NFL career, is expected to compete for the third receiver spot as well as a place on special teams as a kick returner.

Cason, meanwhile, has joined on a one-year deal that sees him reunited with former coaches Ron Rivera and Steve Wilks following their time together with the San Diego Chargers.

The former first-round Draft pick spent five years with the Chargers before moving to the Arizona Cardinals last season, and could replace Captain Munnerlyn, who has joined the Minnesota Vikings, in the Panthers side.

Webb has also signed a one-year contract and is expected to operate solely as a quarterback in Carolina having switched between that position and wide receiver during his four-year spell with the Vikings.
