CJ Spiller backs Chan Gailey to succeed at New York Jets

Buffalo Bills running back CJ Spiller feels that former head coach Chan Gailey will be a success in his new role as offensive coordinator of the New York Jets.

Buffalo Bills running back CJ Spiller has backed his former head coach Chan Gailey to shine in his new role as offensive coordinator of the New York Jets.

Gailey was fired as the Bills' head coach after the 2012 season, but has now returned to the NFL as part of the new coaching staff at the Jets for the 2015 campaign.

Spiller has backed the 63-year-old to bring a creative touch to the offensive unit of the AFC East outfit following their struggles last season.

"His offense is gonna be very creative," Spiller told Sirius XM NFL Radio. "He's gonna put his players in the best situations to win matchups. Just a humble guy. First class, goes about his business the right way. He's gonna treat his men like men.

"Obviously it will be different now, since he's just gonna be the offensive coordinator. He's gonna have more time just to spend on the offense, compared to his time in Buffalo when he was the head coach and pretty much had the full plate. Now he's just gonna be able to focus in on that offense and do what he does well."

Spiller is expected to become a free agent when the league year officially ends in March, and has been touted with the move to the Jets.
