Baltimore Ravens announce Will Hill signing

The Baltimore Ravens sign safety Will Hill despite the 24-year-old being suspended for the first six games of the season.

The Baltimore Ravens have announced that former New York Giants safety Will Hill has joined the team.

The 24-year-old had been a free agent following his release from the Giants earlier this year after he was handed his third NFL suspension in two years.

General manager Ozzie Newsome told the Baltimore Sun: "If we need it, Will will provide depth in the middle of the season."

Hill will not be eligible for the first six games of the 2014 season for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.
