Bruce Arians: 'Stopping DeMarco Murray was crucial'

Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians hails his side's run defense as the key element in his side's victory over the Dallas Cowboys.

Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians feels that his side's win against the Dallas Cowboys was down to their ability to stop Jason Garrett's side's running game.

DeMarco Murray had rushed for over 100 yards in each of his side's eight games this season, but he was held to just 79 against the Cardinals, which helped the visitors secure a 28-17 victory at AT&T Stadium.

"We came in to stop the run, and I felt that, obviously, we did a very good job of that, and they didn't have 100, I don't think, as a team," Arians told reporters.

"Hats off to the defensive line, linebackers and safeties because we missed some tackles, but they were very, very physical, and I thought we played on their side of the line most of the day."

The Cardinals hold the number one seed in the NFC with a 7-1 record this season.
